Syria: Business institute, national media feature Transcendental Meditation for health and executive performance

Development of total brain functioning through the Transcendental Meditation Technique was the subject of business seminars which took place last month in Syria's major cities—Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo. Titled 'Brain fitness for peak executive performance', the seminars were hosted by a leading business development institution. The seminars were very well received, and will be repeated for young entrepreneurs.

Syria has three active Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme. Syria's first centre for the Transcendental Meditation Programme was inaugurated on 7 July, and since then there has been a great wave of interest in the programme. In addition to articles in magazines and newspapers, the national television recently featured the health benefits* of the Transcendental Meditation Technique for older men, and plans to do two features on Consciousness-Based Education this month.
