Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Canada for the Global Country of World Peace, along with the National Director for Canada, spoke recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat, continuing their report on the latest developments in Canada.

In the area of the Ministry of Administration of the Global Country of World Peace in Canada, the National Director reported that they have begun making Corporate Development presentations to businesses in the major cities in Canada, and the programme is receiving very positive interest.

The Ministries of Health and Trade and Commerce of the Global Country are working together to bring Maharishi Ayur-Veda products into Canada, with the first shipment by January 2009. In October there will be a national tour with a Maharishi Vaidya [Maharishi Ayur-Veda physician] and the Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology experts. 'This is a wonderful opportunity for Canada to take advantage of Maharishi Ayur Veda,' said Raja Paul.

Slides were shown of the radio tower on the Island of World Peace, just off the coast of Nova Scotia—a location chosen by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, because it is there that the auspicious first rays of the rising sun first shine on North America. Maharishi wanted the Vedic Recitation [by Vedic Pandits of India] and the traditional First Nations native language recitation to be broadcast by satellite around the world from the Island of World Peace. Conceived by Maharishi in May of 2007, the tower is now complete and a related website will be available soon.

Raja Paul reported that news articles from Canada are indicating the rise of unity in diversity in Canadian national consciousness. 'With Maharishi's attention for so many years, Canada is now rising to fulfil the Vedic ideal, Vasudhaiva kutumbakam, ''The world is my family'',' Raja Paul said. He read from press articles with titles including, 'Canada becoming the land of global citizens', containing such phrases as 'transcendent, planetary super nationalism', and 'the land of global citizens'.

Raja Paul quoted one article in the Toronto Star: '...our growing diversity as a people, our huge pool of human talent, is our greatest strength. Almost every aspect of our daily lives has a global dimension. All the serious challenges we face require global cooperation. With clear global vision Canadians are uniquely positioned to be in the front frank of a world without borders.'

Raja Paul continued, 'So with the country without borders, the Global Country of World Peace, established in Canada now everyone in Canada is starting to feel this, to think this way. What an achievement.' He congratulated all Canadians for this.

Raja Paul also read an article which reported that in the Ontario legislature all three parties had voted unanimously on a motion 'that the Lord's Prayer will continue to be read but will now be joined by a daily rotation of eight other prayers from major denominations, plus a moment of silence. We have come together recognizing our traditions and heritage while embracing and celebrating our diversity.'
