A magnificent new Maharishi Peace Palace was recently inaugurated in St Paul, Minnesota, USA.

Raja Dr John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America for the Global Country of World Peace, and other leaders including Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Norway and former Raja of Minnesota, USA were present at the inaugural ceremony held on 4 March 2009.

This grand 1,000 square metre—10,000 square foot—two-storey building will serve as a centre of coherence for the city, the country, and the world, said Raja Graham.

The Peace Palace is the same design as those built in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa. Although the building still needs some finishing touches inside and out, it was ready to be moved into on the auspicious day prescribed by the Maharishi Jyotish Programme, said Raja Graham.

Raja Graham outlined the steps of progress that led to this crowning achievement. The land, which is ideal according to the principles of Maharishi Vedic Architecture, was located in September of 2005 and acquired in January of 2006. On 20 April 2007, the day of Akshaya Tritiya—the Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic Calendar—the cornerstone was laid, Raja Graham said, and by then all financing had been arranged. Construction began in August 2007.

The Peace Palace is now complete and will soon be in use as a beautiful home for the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Raja Graham congratulated the many people who have been so dedicated in bringing this Peace Palace to fruition in the 'Twin Cities'—St Paul and Minneapolis—which are progressive, prosperous, and open-minded, and were recently named among the country's healthiest, most desirable places to live.
