Model Peace Palace and Peace Colony to be built in Britain

Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reported on the progress of the beautiful 17,000 square foot Maharishi Peace Palace to be built in rural England.

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat he described the three-storey Peace Palace in detail.

On the first floor there are two very large rooms—one for men and one for ladies—for the practice of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, as well as kitchen and dining, meeting rooms, a shop for Maharishi Ayur-Veda products, a tea shop, and library. The second and third floors feature several large meeting rooms and 35 guest rooms.

Plans for construction are proceeding smoothly. The planners were enthusiastic about the building, Raja Warburton said. They appreciated the symmetry, the arches, and the layout of the entire site, which includes a Maharishi Invincibility School, a Maharishi Vedic Spa and Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Centre, and a Peace Colony* of 50 beautiful Maharishi Sthapatya Veda homes.

With the use of pre-cast panels, the Peace Palace walls, roof, and floors could go up in about a day, Raja Warburton said. The panels are all inclusive, featuring window frames, the inner wall with the insulation, all the cavities for electricity and plumbing—pipes, switches, wall sockets, ducts, etc.—as well as the outer ornamentation such as carved lotuses, arches, and pillars. In accordance with regulations, the outer surface of the panel is able to withstand horizontal rain.

A large building was recently erected in London using this panel system, Raja Warburton said. The whole building went up in an afternoon, with one panel bolted to the next and a special cement to seal them together.

This Peace Palace, in both its design and construction method, can serve as a model for Peace Palaces around the world. Just looking at the building, which was designed under Maharishi's guidance, is inspiring, Raja Warburton said. Everything about working on it is joyful.
