Swedish army sees vast reduction in numbers

Speaking 27 July 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Bruce Plaut, Raja of Invincible Sweden for the Global Country of World Peace, reported a reduction in size of the armed forces in his domain over the last few decades, due to a worldwide rise in collective consciousness.
In a recent meeting with the Director of Defence for Invincible Sweden, Raja Pplaut learnt that 9,000 soldiers currently make up the nation's army. Thirty years ago, when the National Director himself was a Colonel, the army's size was 750,000. 'What an amazing statistic,' remarked Raja Plaut, 'that over the last three decades there has been nearly a 99% drop in size of the armed forces.'
Raja Plaut said that the only possible explanation for this phenomenon was that worldwide collective consciousness had been purified to such an extent through the endeavours of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, that Sweden no longer felt the need for such a large army. 'Maharishi has in effect established a whole legion of peace-creating experts,' said Raja Bruce. The Maharishi Purusha Programme* and the Mother Divine Programme** are among the experts in this area, he said, while the Maharishi Vedic Pandits form an elite corps of specialists in peace-creating technologies. 'But really all Yogic Flyers, especially those practising together in large groups, can be considering peace-creating professionals,' added Raja Plaut.
'The result of this new profession is that, even in a small country like Sweden, thousands of young people a year have been freed from the stress and trauma of military service, allowing them to pursue other areas of life such as higher education,' he continued. With Consciousness-Based Education, especially, these young people, freed from military service, will be able to rise in higher states of consciousness, relieving their own stress as well as that of the nation and world.
