Consciousness-Based Education presented at the World Summit of Innovators and Entrepreneurship, April 2008

Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, reported recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat that the National Director of the Global Country for the United Arab Emirates, Dr Satish Kumar, had been invited to speak at World Summit of Innovators and Entrepreneurship held in Dubai in early April 2008.

Dr Satish Kumar was invited to participate as a guest speaker at this World Summit, which was held under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Vice President and Prime Minister of Dubai.

'This was a very high level and international summit looking at innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the world,' Raja Peter said. It was attended by people like the Minister of Innovation from Ireland; presidents of certain African nations; the Chairman of Pepsi Cola; the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Business Review; the Chief Executive Officer of CISCO and so on—'the top creative thinkers in the world gathering to think about innovation and entrepreneurship,' said Raja Peter.

On the first day of the conference, Dr Kumar spoke about Transcendental Meditation and Invincibility and many of the delegates were very interested. Dr Kumar introduced the concept of Consciousness-Based Education as a programme for innovation and creating world peace in the Charter, and this was accepted.

Dr Kumar was nominated to be in a 15-member team with five divisions; Dr Satish Kumar and two others are in the Knowledge Division. This team will function with the United Nations and other world bodies with strong financial support from Dubai and around the world to formulate education changes in the Arab world and Africa.

Raja Peter said that the press reported that 'this was the most inspiring gathering of its kind in Dubai, which called for improving the role of innovation as a catalyst for peace and development to improve the quality of lives of millions of people worldwide.'
