On 20 March 2006 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported:
Almost seven and a half acres of rolling wooded hills have been purchased for the location of a Maharishi Peace Palace in Moon, Pennsylvania, in the US. The Peace Palace will be one of four planned for Allegheny County, and one of 3,000 Peace Palaces to be built worldwide, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
Each Peace Palace will offer the programmes of the Global Country of World Peace, including instruction and practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, a health spa, a variety of products, Vedic Vibration Technology, and halls for knowledge and exhibitions.
The article explains that the Transcendental Meditation Programme was introduced to the world in 1959 by Maharishi, and is now practised by approximately six million people around the globe.
The Gazette also gave readers some information about the Global Country of World Peace. The article quoted the Global Country of World Peace website, which states that the purpose of the organization is 'to establish global world peace by unifying all nations in happiness, prosperity, invincibility, and perfect health, while supporting the rich diversity of our world family'.
According to the article, Peace Palaces around the world will 'range in size from 5,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet'. The one planned for the Moon property in Allegheny County will be two stories and have a marble-plated exterior.
Ralph Emmerich, the co-director of the Allegheny County Peace Palace, says he plans to work out of a local office building until construction of the Peace Palace is completed.
The article announced a lecture on the Transcendental Meditation Technique to be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, March 26th, at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 20 S. 10th St., South Side, for anyone interested in more information about this programme.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
