The Governor of New York State, Andrew M Cuomo, has announced the availability of $3.5 million in new funding for those pursuing means of increasing the rate at which plug-in electric vehicles are adopted; those pursuing the price reduction of electric vehicle charging station installation and operation; and those pursuing ways of using electric vehicles to improve the resiliency of the grid. The new funding is intended to help in the achievement of the New York State governor's goals to slash the state's greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2030 (as compared to 1990 levels).
