Group nears goal of protecting Montana wetland for birds

On 22 July 2017 The Associated Press reported: A land conservation group says it has raised nearly all the money needed to protect habitat for sandhill cranes and dozens of other bird species in northern Montana. The money will go toward protecting 400 acres of farmland from future development. . . . the property includes a 45-acre wetland used by tens of thousands of migratory birds every year.
