Raja John Hagelin: The principles of Nature's government, Unified Field-based administration of the universe - Part III - 18 November 2007, MERU, Holland

Dr Hagelin speaks about the non-dual structure of the Unified Field and the secret of the unified, self-referral administration of Natural Law in which there is no duality; it is only administering itself.

Continuing his talk, Dr Hagelin pointed out that when we look at the administration of the universe, we realize that in this flawless administration of the universe—in which everything is governed with maximum efficiency and economy and in accordance with the universal principle of least action—everything is maximally evolutionary, always in a progressive direction. We understand the nature of that administration to be Unified Field-based administration, the self-referral administration of the Unified Field and nothing else.

'The Unified Field eternally interacting with itself,' Dr Hagelin said. 'The secret of nature's administration is that it is administration by Being, the administration of Unity: self-referral administration, and therefore flawless administration, as flawless as the Constitution of the Universe itself.'

Dr Hagelin then brought out that unified administration is flawless administration, free of complications, and the extra feature that is so important, which Maharishi highlighted recently, is the non-dual nature of this unified administration. Unified means 'non-dual'; unified means 'non-dual', and non-dual means unified—but it's a shade of elaboration of unified that is crucial.

'It's certainly crucial to our understanding of the expression from the Upanishads [one aspect of the Vedic Literature] that all fear is born of duality. We could similarly say all problems are born of duality, and it is the absence of duality on the ground of Unity that is responsible for the complete absence of problems in the administration of the universe. It is a very important principle in the administration of Maharaja Nader Raam, so I want to just highlight that principle a little with an example.

'Before the discovery of the Unified Field, for 50 years the greatest mathematicians and the greatest physicists struggled with the problem of gravity. What is the problem with gravity? Einstein's classical Theory of Gravity is adequate on its own, but it's not a quantum theory and therefore was out of date almost immediately after its inception. For 50 years, quantum physicists, and mathematicians have been trying to update gravity, to be consistent with quantum mechanics, to create a quantum theory of gravity, a natural aspiration because gravity is a reality of our universe. Quantum mechanics is a reality of our universe. Those two realities have to be consistent.'

Dr Hagelin said that there must be, certainly, a quantum theory of gravity. But early efforts to quantize gravity all failed. The simplest calculations of the simplest processes were all right . . . but only a classical approximation to the more precise quantum calculation.

'To calculate this process of the self-gravitation of electrons more carefully, you have to include what are called quantum corrections, to the naive classical result. These quantum corrections to the naive classical result, are also called Loop Diagrams, because they involve Feynmann diagrams that contain extra loops and the exchange of extra gravitons, which are supposed to be small quantum corrections to the fundamental calculation of single graviton exchange.

'The problem with these loops is that they give a nonsensical answer. A badly misbehaved, mathematically inconsistent answer of infinity when we know the quantum corrections to the gravitation scattering are small, and certainly finite. So this has been a long-standing problem of 50 years, and all efforts to solve that problem failed, and eventually it became understood that the real problem, the basic logical inconsistency with gravity, was the very notion of ''other''.

'The problem was, electrons and gravitons [were] treated as separate fields when the ultimate reality is that they are one and the same field. It's the duality that gave rise to the problems of quantum gravity, and all of these uncontrollable infinities that prevented any calculations from ever succeeding with quantum gravity. The solution to this gravitational quagmire was unification: the discovery of the Unified Field.

'The Unified Field contains as one of its symmetries, Supersymmetry. Supersymmetry is Bose-Fermi symmetry. Supersymmetry is a perfect balance of converging and diverging tendencies. Supersymmetry means there is a perfect balance of Bose and Fermi fields. For every boson there is a fermion, for every fermion there is a boson. For every electron, which is a fermion, there is a selectron, which is a boson. For every graviton which is a boson, there is a gravitino, which is a fermion; and quite remarkably, when you add into these calculations, the contributions from these additional fields required by Sypersymmetry—from the supersymmetric partners to all the known particles—amazingly, the infinities cancel.

'Individually they are there, this contribution is infinite, but that contribution is negative infinite. This contribution is infinite, but that contribution is negative infinite; and when you add all the contributions from all the particles and forces required for unification, the infinities cancel, and you get a sensible result for the first time in the history of quantum gravity.

'So the solution to the problem is unification, but at this stage of calculation it's rather cumbersome and awkward to be calculating in an infinite contribution and a negative infinite contribution, and hundreds of infinite contributions and hundreds of negative infinite contributions until the whole thing finally cancels. It's very awkward, and it's very cumbersome, only because the language of Feynmann diagrams is not sufficiently unified.

'It's a waking state language, not emphasizing the ultimate reality of the unity of all these particles, so over time, a new language has emerged. The calculational language of Supergraphs, which is the vision of Brahman Consciousness. The calculational language of Supergraphs dispenses with all the diversity of the specific particle types, and replaces all those individual particle types with a single line representing the Superfield or Unified Field.

'When all the individual particles, or all the individual constituents of the Unified Field are replaced by the reality of the Unified Field, a new type of Feynmann diagram [is created], a so-called Supergraph, where every line is a stroke of wholeness. In such graphs the infinities simply never even arise. There are no infinite graphs, when Superfield notation is employed. And that just shows again the reality of the Vedic expression that all problems are born of duality: problems of administration, and all fear, are born of duality.

'Eliminate duality through a properly unified language, a fully Vedic language, a Samhita [togetherness, wholeness] language, which is the unity of Rishi, Devata, and Chhandas [knower, knowing, and known] in the wholeness of the Samhita, the fullness, the wholeness of Atma [the Self]. Similarly in physics, the unification of boson and fermion in the dynamical relationship, Supersymmetry, in the wholeness of the Superfield, is a non-dual language. And in that non-dual language, the infinities that had plagued physics for 50 years are simply absent, they don't even arise. They are prevented.

'So when we look to nature's administration, it's not only unified administration, it's non-dual administration, which is a more elaborated, complete appreciation of the unified reality. Non-dual administration is problem-free administration, is prevention-oriented administration where problems don't even arise.

'What a breakthrough this has been in science, because before the discovery of the Unified Field, and it was Maharishi's coaxing of the scientific community now for at least three decades that accelerated the rapid development of Unified Field theories, and has inspired so many scientists, so many Unified Field theorists to go deeply into this.

'History will record Maharishi's role as transforming the field of science from diversified science to unified science based on his science and technology of Veda, which has inspired not only physics, but mathematics, chemistry, physiology, all the sciences and all the arts, and every academic discipline to discover their unified foundation in the Constitution of the Universe, their unified foundation in the Unified Field.

'So this is the secret of nature's administration. It is self-referral administration, the Unified Field administering itself. It is administration by Being—simply by Being the Unified Field, the Unified Field governs. It doesn't have to do anything. It doesn't have to become the grand unified level, it doesn't have to become the nuclear level. It never becomes them. These levels of Natural Law always exist eternally within the unified structure of Being, within the Unified Field of Atma, within the Constitution of the Universe. So it is the administration of Unity. It's non-dual administration, which means of necessity, problem-free administration, and prevention-oriented administration, where, as we have seen, problems don't even arise.'
