A special four-part course being offered to women medical doctors, nurses, and other health professionals by the College of Maharishi Ayur-Veda, MERU, Seelisberg, Switzerland

Every newborn child is a very precious expression of pure intelligence who deserves to grow in health, happiness, and enlightenment. The College of Maharishi Ayur-Veda has these highest ideals in mind when introducing the time-tested knowledge of Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care in the context of mother and baby care.

The Maharishi Ayur-Veda Family Health Series, Course One—Healthy, Happy Mother and Baby—provides very practical knowledge and timely solutions in the areas of preconception, pregnancy, delivery, and postnatal care that can be offered by health professionals to prospective parents in every country.

This course has been developed by an international group of experienced pediatricians, obstetricians, gynecologists, nurses from several countries, as well as aromatherapists and specialists in other relevant aspects of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's holistic integrative approach to health, working with well-known Ayur-Vedic physicians from India, those whose family traditions in Ayur-Veda (Science of Life) date back thousands of years.

Part One of the course is being held in the historic International Capital of Maharishi's worldwide Movement in the pristine atmosphere and majestic beauty of the Swiss Alps in Seelisberg.

Overview of the four-part Healthy, Happy Mother and Baby course for women doctors and health professionals:
Part One, on Preconception, is being offered for the second time this year, from 19 to 30 June in Seelisberg, Switzerland. Part Two on Pregnancy will be held at MERU Sint Odilienberg, the Netherlands, 14–21 September. Part Three on Postnatal Care for mother and newborn child will be held at MERU, Sint Odilienberg, 4–9 December. Part Four will be held 10–20 December, immediately following Part Three, allowing health professionals to complete the entire training by the end of the year.

Prerequisite for the Healthy, Happy Mother and Baby Course: 16-lesson course on Good Health through Prevention
The prerequisite to attending Part One of the Healthy, Happy Mother and Baby Course is the 16-lesson course on Good Health through Prevention. This very comprehensive course lays the foundation for understanding the holistic, prevention-oriented approach of Maharishi Ayur-Veda, and is the foundation upon which all the practical knowledge that is provided in the Healthy, Happy Mother and Baby Course can be fully appreciated. The 16-lesson course is offered in Seelisberg 13-20 June.

The four-part course (and the introductory 16-lesson course on Good Health through Prevention) will also be held as a 40-day course in 2014. For anyone interested in attending this 40-day course, please let the College of Maharishi Ayur-Veda know by emailing: meru-reception@bluewin.ch

Who should attend:
This is an introductory course for women doctors, nurses, and other health professionals who are interested in promoting this valuable knowledge in their countries. While the practice of Transcendental Meditation is recommended for all course participants, it is not required in order to qualify for participation in the course.

Upon completing the entire four-part course for doctors, there will also be a consultants' training course to train therapists/technicians in the techniques of this special programme. The basic four-part course is a prerequisitie to qualify for such upcoming training courses.

This course will also be included as part of the health curriculum at the Total Knowledge Based universities for women and the Invincible Nation University in different countries, and is planned to be offered next year as a videotaped course in local Maharishi Health Centres.
