Maharishi Vastu architecture has found a presence online, which has enabled this natural law based approach to design and building to reach an even broader and more diverse audience than ever before.
According to Jonathan Lipman, AIA—director of Maharishi Vastu architecture programmes for North America, and the most experienced Vastu architect in the western hemisphere—utilizing the Internet and social media is a key way to help more people learn about the benefits of this unique system of architecture.
He said, 'We publish regularly every two months an e-zine called ''At Home in Maharishi Vastu''.'
One of the goals of the online newsletter is to spread the knowledge that living and working in Maharishi Vastu can create a powerful, lifelong influence of fulfilment, happiness, and perfect health.
Topics of the newsletter range from distance education courses, to eco-friendly buildings, to tiny Vastu houses, to LEED Platinum certified Vastu homes.
The newsletter goes out around the world. 'It is forwarded to friends and associates who then contact us with requests to help them to design Vastu homes, like [the request] that we received from South Africa last week from someone who wants us to help them with the design of an office building,' Mr Lipman said.
In addition, the MaharishiVastu.org website was recently updated to make Vastu information more readily available to interested people worldwide.
The website is now in six languages, 'and we expect to add a seventh, French, very soon,' said Mr Lipman. In addition to English, the site can now be viewed in Spanish, German, Portuguese, Danish, and Turkish.
The website has contact information for the five major English-speaking countries: the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand.
Sometimes reaching someone the old fashioned way, face-to-face, is also effective, he said. For this reason, Mr Lipman regularly speaks to guests at the premiere Ayurvedic health spa in the United States.
'What I have found over the years is that they are more and more excited about what we have to offer.' Hearing his lecture about Maharishi Vastu architecture, people become 'wide-eyed and very enthusiastic', he said.
