New video showcases how Transcendental Meditation improves health

A new video produced in the UK serves as an introduction to the Transcendental Meditation Technique. One key area it highlights, mainly through interviews with practitioners from all walks of life, is the remarkable effect Transcendental Meditation (TM) has on improving health.
Some meditators noticed an improvement in emotional health.
Amanda Leat, a digital agency director, said, 'I think feeling well-rested and feeling on top of my game all the time is the really key thing. . . . Professionally and personally I'm often dealing with a lot of stressful situations. Before I did TM small things would go wrong and I'd panic. It was a terrible feeling. But now I feel like I'm in control, and I can assess the situation and make the best of it and keep everyone calm at the same time. I feel really strong and level emotionally.'
Others found a difference in physiological health.
Michael Andrew, a financial adviser working in the UK, remarked on his changed sleeping patterns.
'I had a belief that with a bit of luck I might be able to sleep a little bit better' after learning Transcendental Meditation, he said.
'The reality was dramatically different. I slept normally. I slept for a protracted length of time. Instead of waking up every few hours and never getting more than three or four hours of sleep a night, I would sleep a normal night's sleep. My wife thought I looked ten years younger.'
Ms Leat mentioned a health problem she dealt with before learning Transcendental Meditation.
'I began suffering from migraine attacks and with each attack I was unwell for three days. I wasn't able to leave home and I wasn't able to work.'
Things changed once she began the TM Programme.
'As soon as I started TM I noticed improvements straight away. It was amazing and it changed my life. I haven't had a migraine since I first began meditating, and that was nearly two years ago.'
