On 28 July 2011 The Behavioral Medicine Report reported:
As part of a new published study, EEG measurements of brain functioning were taken while students with ADHD were performing a demanding computer-based visual-motor task. Successful performance on the task requires attention, focus, memory, and impulse control. Students were also given a verbal fluency test measuring higher-order executive functions, including initiation, simultaneous processing, and systematic retrieval of knowledge. Students who practise the Transcendental Meditation Technique showed improved brain function and decreased ADHD symptoms.
