On 18 June 2005 The Desert Sun reported:
Personal trainer Rick Krotz of La Quinta, California, US, believes the Trancendental Meditation Programme (TM) can fulfil his desire to reduce stress and expand his brain power. Krotz recently learned the health-promoting mental technique from Alerik Arenander, PhD, director of the Maharishi Enlightenment Center for the Desert Cities.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
The Desert Sun article noted that Krotz's opinion is backed up by scientific research. Writer O'Connor referred to the study recently published in the American Journal of Cardiology which showed that seniors with elevated blood pressure who learned the Transcendental Meditation Technique had a 23 per cent increase in life expectancy over fellow study participants who learned other relaxation techniques.
The TM group experienced 49 per cent fewer deaths from cancer and 30 per cent fewer from heart disease.
Krotz told O'Conner that he was impressed with his findings. 'As I understand, it's a technique for optimizing the brain,' he said.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
