Rajasthan to offer houses to urban poor

On 8 August 2012 Indo-Asian News Service reported: The Rajasthan cabinet has given approval to the implementation of a housing scheme for urban poor and the establishment of universities in the state. Under the plan, selected below-the-poverty-line families in urban areas will be provided a subsidy to construct houses. Land has also been earmarked to establish universities in the state. Rajasthan is the largest state in India.
