B.C.'s crime rate falling faster than rest of Canada, Statistics Canada says

On 25 July 2012 The Vancouver Sun reported: The crime rate in Canada at lowest level since 1972 Statistics Canada says. British Columbia's crime rate is falling faster than the rest of the country, according to newly published numbers from Statistics Canada. Reported Criminal Code violations in the province dipped by nearly 22 per cent between 2007 and 2011. Data collected in BC mirrors national patterns of lessening crime and stats for Metro Vancouver also show the area is following suit.
