On 8 February 2018 The Telegraph reported: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) 'sarsanghchalak' or chief Mohan Bhagwat presided over a meeting at Muzaffarpur with farmers selected from all 58 districts of Bihar and Jharkhand where he said that early strides in organic farming in India saved fertility of land. ... The RSS chief appealed to the farmers to adopt organic farming to cut down cost of production and increase the fertility of land.
