Greater Kaohsiung offers organic farming courses

On 29 October 2012 Taipei Times reported: Greater Kaohsiung's Agricultural Research and Extension Station said it was starting training courses to instruct organic farmers on further expanding their scope. As of the end of last month, there were 13 agricultural product certification facilities authorized by the council. Of those, 12 are for granting organic certifications, station director Huang Shyan-Liang said, adding that 2,514 farmer households have received certification for organic farming.
