Peru: USD 97 million of organic produce in first semester

On 7 October 2012 Freshplaza.com reported: According to Juan Varilias, chairman of Adex (the Union of Exporters), Peru exported 97 million dollars' worth of organic produce in the first semester of 2012. This number is a little higher than the same period in 2011, when importers ran up a tab of 95 million dollars. During the opening of the fifth annual International Convention of Organic Produce, sector representatives stated that a lot more success is to be expected from the export trade.
