The new 16-lesson course in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and Gardening, recently held at two locations in the United Kingdom, puts the knowledge of soil, plants, the ecosystem and the cosmos in its rightful place, in terms of the totality of life and Natural Law.

'Everything that is based on partial knowledge has a damaging influence,' said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace.* 'Now the best of modern organic agriculture has been connected with the fullness of Maharishi's Vedic Science,** and a deep glimpse has been given of the knowledge of infinity and point in the field of agriculture and ecology.'

Raja Peter gave an overview and appreciation of the new course,*** recently offered in the UK by Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication of the Global Country of World Peace and expert in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture. The course was given at Maharishi Garden Village in Suffolk and at the Maharishi European Sidhaland in Lancashire.

Raja Peter explained that the course brought out how the knowledge and practices of the past have damaged the soil and environment. Now both new and traditional knowledge in the light of Totality are reversing those trends, he said. In presenting these developments, the course brings out the sensitive pivotal point around which agriculture must transform so that it can catalyze the phase transition to rescue the planet as a whole. 'If this course were taught in all agriculture colleges we would have no problems of agriculture or environment,' Raja Peter commented.

He showed slides and read many deeply appreciative comments by course participants, which brought out the enlivenment of wholeness by the course. It was a total education up to PhD level in four days, one participant said.

Raja Peter also described the two-day microscopy course, which enabled participants to identify the microorganisms that play fundamental roles in creating soil fertility and structure, and to learn how to restore those soil populations that may be missing or reduced.

Global Good News will feature further reports on this course in the coming days.

* Raja Peter spoke on the 19 March Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
