Ninety students in Colombia, Latin America, many of whom are at-risk and underprivileged youths, recently learned one of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's most powerful technologies of consciousness.
All the students practise the Transcendental Meditation Programme and have now learned an advanced technique called Yogic Flying. This advanced technique, an aspect of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, has stronger transformative effects that each individual can see and experience.
Many of the students are at risk for drug involvement or former drug users themselves. They are learning Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying as part of a drug prevention and rehabilitation programme started by Father Gabriel Mejia.
Father Mejia is a Catholic priest and teacher of Transcendental Meditation. For the past ten years, he has been directing 52 shelters for homeless children and youth offenders in Colombia and throughout Latin America.
This recent group of 90 youths immediately began to feel the benefits of Yogic Flying.
According to Pedro Ojeda, a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Latin America, the students began to change quickly. He remarked, 'It's really very fulfilling to see every day a transformation in their consciousness.'
He went on to say, 'All Maharishi's knowledge has such a power to transform people's lives and create a new consciousness in these underprivileged children.'
Mr Ojeda also reported that those who had problems with drugs felt their problems dissolve smoothly and their recovery begin through the programme.
