An Institute of Vedic City Planning is soon to be established in conjunction with Maharishi Universities throughout the world, to offer guidance in the construction of Vastu developments and large buildings designed according to Maharishi Vedic architecture.
Under the leadership of Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Architecture for the Global Country of World Peace, the Institute will consist of leading experts in the field of Vastu building, who have a track record in the United States or elsewhere in planning and implementing development projects. One such expert is Dr Jeffrey Abramson, partner in The Tower Companies, the largest developer of green or sustainable properties in the Washington DC area in the United States, who also specializes in Vastu development.
'There is a great demand throughout the world for Vedic Cities,' said Dr Hartmann during an international conference on 6 May in MERU, Holland. 'Specifically, there is an interest in combining the ancient system of Vedic architecture with modern principles of sustainability.' This new Institute has been established to help meet this growing demand, he said.
