The tour of renowned filmmaker Dr David Lynch in Germany earlier this year continues to inspire interest in the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Consciousness-Based Education from schools and the media.
Following Dr Lynch's visit, a top school in Germany invited leaders of the Global Country of World Peace to come and speak about Consciousness-Based Education.
Several speakers addressed the school, including a retired judge, a teacher at the school who is also a Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and the mother of a student at the school who is a Yogic Flyer.
Her son is a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and a very successful student, said Dr Eckart Stein, Director of Education for Invincible Germany, speaking on 15 December.
The school says that they educate the elite of Germany, continued Dr Stein, who also presented at the school.
It is important to give these students 'Total Knowledge—something which is deep inside, something which cannot be taught from outside; it has to be experienced from inside', Dr Stein said. Consciousness-Based Education and Transcendental Meditation offer this experience.
Dr Lynch's visit opened the possibility for this meeting, Dr Stein commented. His visit also inspired an interview with a prestigious art magazine, in which Dr Lynch talks about Transcendental Meditation. The article will be published in a special edition of the magazine, Dr Stein said.
