One hundred sixty high school students in Fiji are practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme. They have expressed great satisfaction with the programme, writing comments such as: 'I think meditation is a good experience, and I like it because it relaxes my mind, and my body gets rest. I was also able to do my homework without any problem. I really enjoyed it and I hope to continue my meditation . . . at home, at school, and everywhere I go.'

Raja Michael Dillbeck, Raja of Invincible Fiji for the Global Country of World Peace, recently presented written comments from the students, and reported on the success of a Consciousness-Based Education programme at the school. The programme will soon expand to include another 160 students.

One student said: 'Well, about meditation—I feel very good about it. It's a very good thing. While we're doing meditation I feel very relaxed. All my tension just goes away and my body gets so much rest. Even on the weekend I meditate, and find it's really interesting. So now I have found a habit of meditating when I am alone. . . . I do lose my tension from meditation, so I am enjoying to keep on doing it.'

'I found that meditation was very interesting,' said another student. 'After the [academic] subjects we are very tired—and after meditation all the tiredness is gone. We find we're fresh and relaxed after this. I could score more on the tests after I was meditating.'

Another student wrote: 'When I do this meditation I feel good. It helps me to relax my mind. . . . I was very happy to do this mediation. It helps me to improve my work. Meditation has done very excellent work for me. It helps me to relax my body. I wish to do this meditation next year.'

'We have great hope for the project, and great hope for Fiji,' said one of the Transcendental Meditation Teachers who has been instructing students at the school. These students could help create national invincibility for Fiji, through group practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes, she said
