The Transcendental Meditation Programme gives students the opportunity to enliven their full creativity and intelligence, and enjoy success in life from the basis of inner peace.
Renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Russell Simmons said the technique has been a life-transforming* gift for his own children, and one that he wants to offer to children everywhere.
He also expressed his own appreciation for the programme. 'I'm a meditator. . . . It's the strength that gives me the ability to function in a world that on the outside is full of stress,' said Russell Simmons, speaking at a major press conference* in New York City, USA. 'But when I operate from my meditation, from that stillness, then it's much easier . . . .' he continued.
Mr Simmons said that his children practise Transcendental Meditation and it's changed their lives. 'I want to give this gift that I've given my children, to all kids,' he said.
Cultivating creativity is one of the most critical parts of any education; it's an essential part of education, Mr Simmons continued.
Transcendental Meditation enhances creativity and intelligence, and offers students a chance to enjoy some 'quiet time' each day, to 'focus on what's inside', and the results are amazing, he said. 'Some of the worst schools become some of the best.'
Teaching one million*** students Transcendental Meditation will create 'a core strength' for the country and the world. 'I'm very happy to be one of the people in support of it,' Mr Simmons concluded.
