Latin America: Students raising Bolivia to invincibility

In 2008 in Bolivia, two courses in Yogic Flying (an aspect of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme) have been offered to students—one at the beginning of the year, and another just completed. There are now about 1,500 Yogic Flyers in the schools, with plans for expansion of the programme in the coming year.

These schools are among 158 schools in 19 Latin American countries that have offered Consciousness-Based Education, including the Transcendental Meditation Technique and its advanced programmes to their students this year.

This announcement was made recently by Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace.

The number of students in Latin America now practising Transcendental Meditation has reached 61,000, and 14,000 are practising Yogic Flying—creating a powerful influence of coherence, harmony, and invincibility for their nations, Raja Luis said.

He presented news from six countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and Bolivia. Leaders of the programmes in some of these countries also spoke about the success of Consciousness-Based Education in the schools and the deep appreciation of the students, teachers, and parents.

The Administrators of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme in Bolivia expressed what a great joy it was to teach these students.

Raja Luis commented that all of these programmes throughout Latin America have created a strong basis of invincibility for the whole continent.

In the coming year, Raja Luis said they plan to consolidate, improve, strengthen, and make permanent the invincibility programmes throughout Latin America. Plans include building Vastu facilities for Maharishi's programmes, he said.

Ideally there will be an additional 50,000 Yogic Flyers by July 2009, he concluded.
