Sweden: Raja Bruce Plaut aims for nationwide implementation of Consciousness-Based Education

31 July 2008
Speaking 27 July 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Bruce Plaut, Raja of Invincible Sweden for the Global Country of World Peace, discussed his intention to implement Consciousness-Based Education in schools throughout the nation.
Raja Plaut noted that Sweden 'has long supported any life-sustaining, progressive, or useful policies, making these available throughout society'. Judging by its history of progressive thinking and concern for the well-being of its citizens, Raja Bruce has established a goal for the nation to adopt a policy for every child to 'begin and end each day with practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique', and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, for older children.
A policy of universal Consciousness-Based Education in Sweden, continued Raja Plaut, would lead to instant invincibility for the nation. In addition, it will help the Global Country of World Peace in Sweden to fulfil its goal of creating a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility with an Invincibility School at its base.
Consciousness-Based Education throughout Sweden would also benefit the entire world, he said, since the nation is widely respected for its peaceful, compassionate, friendly, and progressive stance. Reflecting on an anecdote Maharishi told about the early days of his worldwide organization, Raja Plaut noted that, in the 1960s, citizens of Great Britain began learning Transcendental Meditation in large numbers only after the Swedish caught on to the programme. 'In Sweden, people immediately grasped onto Maharishi's knowledge, thus motivating other more skeptical nations to follow suit.' If Sweden implemented the Transcendental Meditation in schools nationwide, other countries would look to that example and its beneficial results for the children and the whole nation, and be inspired to adopt the policy themselves.
