On a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about the latest programmes for students starting Transcendental Meditation in schools in Ecuador, Paraguay, and Guyana.
Raja Jose Luis reported that in Ecuador another 600 students have started in a programme to learn Transcendental Meditation in one school, in addition to the 400 who are already practising the technique. 'This is creating a strong basis now in the western part of the nation for the invincibility of Ecuador,' Raja Jose Luis said.
In Paraguay an important university has decided to implement a programme of Consciousness-Based Education in the curriculum. This programme will be for 1,500 students.
In Guyana three main schools have accepted the Transcendental Meditation Programme. All three have 1,500 students assigned to the programme. 'So Guyana is going to be a big light of Gyan [pure knowledge] for the whole continent, from the northern part of South America,' Raja Luis said.
