Venezuela's enlightened educator foresees Invincibility for Latin America

After receiving multiple awards from the World Congress of Rajas of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Holland, Dr Richard Tucker-Loero, Vice-Chancellor of Venezuela's 40,000-student Iutirla University, responded with these words:

'Only in the most wonderful world of Maharishi could these things happen! It is wonderful and unexpected that I can be here seeing these great things. Two days ago I was in Madrid, and received a phone call. But I couldn't expect to he here with these great leaders from all over the world. It is a very emotional time for me. I feel it was just meant to be.

'I fill this role not only for my students but also for the stability of my country. By creating these 2,000 practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flyers, my country—which just experienced a delicate electoral situation—now is peaceful and tranquil.

'Our programme for the last five months has been teaching these 2,000 students. Now our programme is making this mandatory in the whole university. The effect of this will be overall positivity and harmony. The success may be due to this: In Latin America sometimes it is not so easy because people may think that meditation may be religious or political. So I gave myself as the example. I told everyone that I have been meditating 30 years, and have become more successful and prosperous through this practice.

'I am deeply thankful for this opportunity that gives me higher responsibility; and we can together contribute to the world a path to give something to our nation. Count on me for this process; and I will never, never forget this day, which is deeply rooted in my heart.'

Dr Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja (Administrator) of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, reported the following day that Dr Tucker 'felt that the day he spent at the World Congress of Rajas was a day one uses to mark his life—before and after. He feels he has gained a home; and now all our members of the Global Country of World Peace have him in their hearts with very, very deep appreciation. He is now a leader of the world.'

Dr Alvarez also recognized and congratulated Dr Alvaro and all the local teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique who have been working with Dr Tucker to implement these programmes. He then reported that Dr Tucker has donated land for a Maharishi School of Invincibility in a very good area, said all of his universities can be called 'Maharishi Universities', and is looking at 1,000 beautiful acres for a home for the Maharishi Purusha Programme or the Mother Divine Programme's silent global administration in Latin America. 'He wants to extend his fulfilment to other countries in Latin America, to establish Maharishi Schools and Universities in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and other countries,' Dr Alvarez concluded.
