IKEA targets big cut in greenhouse gas emissions from production

On 30 November 2018 Reuters reported: IKEA, the world's biggest furniture group, pledged on Friday (30 November) to cut greenhouse gas emissions from its production by 80 percent in absolute terms by 2030 from their levels two years ago. The commitment applies to IKEA's own factories and most of its direct suppliers, brand owner Inter IKEA said in a statement. More than 400 firms including H&M, Coca-Cola, and Sony have committed to a U.N.-backed initiative to help limit global warming to below 2C.
