AfDB lends Gabon 256 mln euros for road project

TUNIS, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The African Development Bank (AfDB) has lent Gabon 256.27 million euros ($355.1 million) to finance a road project, the bank said on Tuesday.

'The aim of the loan is to improve road safety and reduce ... cost and provide access to socio-economic and health infrastructure...', the Tunis-based AfDB said.

AfDB has awarded 842 million euros to Gabon to finance 29 projects over the past three decades.
